Election 2024: Bacon, Vargas meet for second debate

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Days after they squared off on 6 News WOWT, the two candidates for Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District are meeting for another debate — this time on Nebraska Public Media.

Tuesday's debate is the second of three slated for Vargas and Bacon. The third debate will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at KETV.

Bacon has held the seat for four election cycles since 2016, when he defeated the late incumbent Brad Ashford. Vargas was elected to the Nebraska Legislature that same year.
