18-year-old injured in shooting at west Omaha park, police say
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Police are investigating a shooting that the victim says happened at a west Omaha park.
Officers were called to Methodist Hospital around 1 a.m. Thursday in regards to a shooting victim receiving treatment.
The victim, an 18-year-old male, told Omaha Police he had been walking in Candlewood Park near 120th and Franklin Street when an unknown Black male tried to rob him. The victim said when he refused to relinquish any property, the man shot at him, grazing his left arm, according to police.
The victim was treated for his injury and released.
