Shooting in north Omaha neighborhood injures teen

Omaha Police are investigating a shooting that left a 14-year-old girl hurt early Sunday.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A teenage girl was sent to the hospital after a shooting in north Omaha early Sunday.

Omaha Police told 6 News at the scene they were called to 43rd and Ohio Streets shortly after 2 a.m. and spoke with the 14-year-old girl who had been shot, who said she’d been shot at another location. She was taken to Nebraska Medicine.

Officers said the teen was dropped off at the call location, but they later found a scene near 35th and Lincoln Blvd. Several shell casings were found at that address, along with doorbell camera footage from neighbors there.

The victim’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
