Taylor Deckert

Taylor Deckert is a familiar face in Siouxland. She joined the KTIV family as an Anchor and Multimedia Journalist in May 2023.
Taylor learned the ropes of journalism at KMEG/KPTH in Sioux City and at FOX Illinois in Champaign, Illinois.
While at KMEG/KPTH, she covered your daily local news stories and anchored the weekend newscasts. At KMEG/KPTH she was a part of award-winning coverage on homeless issues in Siouxland, working to hold officials accountable and address the concerns of those facing homelessness. During her time in Illinois, she covered the crime beat, staying on top of the latest breaking news during a gun violence epidemic in central Illinois while covering the global pandemic.
Taylor was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and graduated from Campbell University in 2019 before moving out to the Midwest.
During her free time, Taylor likes to visit thrift shops, drink lots of coffee, travel to new places, and support local businesses.
