OPPD crew sent to Iowa going further to help with storm aid in Illinois

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - OPPD said in an announcement Thursday that the crew sent out to help restore services in Iowa are helping with storm relief efforts in western Illinois.
In the announcement, OPPD said the crew that was sent out into Iowa was helping MidAmerican energy crews in New Lenox, Illinois after lending aid to Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday.
Currently, nearly 19,000 customers in Illinois are still without power after damaging storms that came through the region last week, according to the announcement.
