Woman shot in car near Omaha’s Fontenelle Park
Victim attempts to flee, crashes into parked car
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A woman is in the hospital after a late night shooting close to Fontenelle Park in North Omaha.
Police were sent to a “shots fired” call just before midnight Tuesday near North 48th and Taylor Streets.
The call was then upgraded to a shooting.
OPD found the victim, a 35-year-old woman, and determined that she was shot while inside her car.
A report says that she attempted to drive away and crashed into a parked vehicle. She was then taken to the hospital.
Officials were told that the suspect was a black male in a hooded sweatshirt in dark pants.
