Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola named Big Ten freshman of the week

LINCOLN, Neb. (WOWT) - The Big Ten Conference has named QB Dylan Raiola freshman of the week for week one of the season, a release said Monday.
This comes after Raiola’s impressive debut against UTEP, where he put up an efficient statline of 19/27 passing, 238 yards and 2 touchdowns in little more than half a game.
Raiola led the Husker offense to score on five of the eight drives he played in, even scoring 23 points in the second quarter, the most in one quarter since 2018.
Raiola is the latest freshman to win the honor since Malcolm Hartzog in October of 2022, and the first freshman on offense since Wan’Dale Robinson in 2019.
