OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Former Bluejay guard Trey Alexander has signed a two-way deal with the 2023 NBA Champions, the Denver Nuggets. After not hearing his name called in the NBA Draft, Alexander hit the undrafted free agent market where the Nuggets quickly picked up the second-team All-BIG EAST guard.

Denver only ended up having one pick in this year’s draft. The Nuggets traded their 2024, 2026, and 2031 second-round picks to the Phoenix Suns for rights to the No. 22 pick DaRon Holmes II.

Alexander scored 20 points in 15 games and recorded a season-high 31 points against St. John’s on February 25th. The Oklahoma native was also a threat on the glass, averaging 5.7 rebounds per game, grabbing a season-high 15 against Villanova on December 20th.
