CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz, along with wide receivers coach Jon Budmayr, will be suspended for one game, according to reporting from The Athletic.

Scott Dochterman reports Ferentz and Budmayr committed a recruiting violation during quarterback Cade McNamara’s recruitment.

The suspension steps from a recruiting violation, but it is unclear whether is comes from the University of Iowa or the NCAA.

Ferentz will be made available to the media at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
