Bo’s First Alert Forecast - High fire risk continues Sunday, scattered showers Monday
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Mostly clear skies are expected Saturday night with mild lows in the mid 50s. Winds will still be breezy from the south-southwest between 10-20 mph. Sunday will be mostly sunny with similar highs to Saturday in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will be breezy from the south-southwest between 10-25 mph which will keep the fire risk for HIGH. The burn ban continues for everyone on Sunday.
Next week, a closed-off low will move over Nebraska bringing our next chance for showers mainly in the afternoon into evening hours on Monday. Scattered showers will start forming early afternoon in the western counties then move over the metro by the evening commute. Potential rainfall amounts are ranging between 0.10″ to 0.50″. By Tuesday morning, the system will move out and high pressure will once again return keeping our weather quiet.
From Tuesday through the rest of the week, the weather will continue to be quiet with temperatures cooling down by Wednesday and Thursday. Normal highs will return in the upper 60s with lows down to around 40 degrees.
