OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - North to northwest winds have picked up and will stay gusty throughout our Sunday.

The strongest gusts could top 30 miles per hour through the afternoon.

Temperatures will be much cooler than we have seen recently as we top out in the low to mid 60s.

Sunday PM Outlook(WOWT)

The winds will calm this evening and, with a clear sky and dry winds, it is a perfect scenario to see quick cooling take place.

Monday and Tuesday are 6 First Alert Weather Days with our first frost looking likely and a light freeze possible.

Each day looks like we fall into the low 30s with isolated spots that cool into the upper 20s.

The one wild card is a batch of cloud cover that swings through Monday night; still, we should cool off into frost territory at the least.

Tuesday night is also looking likely to see some frost in the area.

Daytime temps will be below average Monday and Tuesday as we claw into the low 60s Monday and upper 50s Tuesday.

More warming picks up for the rest of the week on the back of active southerly winds Wednesday through Friday.

Our first real chance for rain in quite some time comes Friday night into Saturday.
