NSP said fans should stay hydrated and pay attention to their fellow fans for signs they’re being affected by the heat.

Inside the stadium, fans can text UNLPD at 402-472-0800 to reach stadium dispatch if they need assistance. Anyone in need of assistance can also contact any trooper, officer, deputy, security, or event staff at the game.

On gameday, troopers, with assistance from the NSP AirWing and local law enforcement agencies, will work to maintain safe travel on area roadways.

People can check Nebraska 511 for the latest information on construction zones and potential detours. Trooper Brett will also give out traffic reports before and after the game on the Huskers Radio Network.

During the first four home gamedays of the season, troopers made 35 arrests for driving under the influence, NSP said.

Anyone who sees a reckless driver or anyone in need of non-emergency roadside assistance can call *55 to reach the Nebraska State Patrol Highway Helpline.
