Numerous crashes impact Thursday morning Omaha-metro commute
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Multiple crashes affected the Thursday morning commute in the Omaha-metro.
The first crash happened on I-80 westbound near the 72nd exit just after 7 a.m. Traffic was slowed for nearly two hours due to the incident.
Not long after, another crash happened on I-80 eastbound approaching Q.
Two more crashes happened in the 7 o’clock hour: one just north of the Omaha-metro on I-29 southbound just past I-880, and another on southbound I-680 near Fort.
Due to the I-680 crash, the commute was backed up onto Blair High as traffic tried to merge onto the interstate.
Traffic was slowed on 42nd Street after a crash at 42nd and Sorensen at about 8 a.m.
A crash just after 8 a.m. on 144th north of Blondo St. slowed southbound traffic at Nelson’s Creek Drive.
At about 8:10 a.m., a crash at 49th and Harrison St. showed notable delays.
