OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Cooler air is moving today behind a light north wind. Partly cloudy skies by the afternoon will help to keep highs in the upper 70s for most of us. A few spots south of the metro could get into the lower 80s.

Overall there will be a light north wind with gusts to 15 mph at worst. Even cooler air will move in tonight setting the stage for a Sunday that feels like fall. Highs in the mid 60s will be cool for many but the north wind gusting to 30 mph will add an extra fall bite to the air.

Cooler air will continue to move in by Sunday night leading us into our first widespread frost of the season by Monday morning. Monday and Tuesday morning are 6 First Alert Weather Days due to that.

Everyone will get frost from one of these 2 mornings and some locations will get a light freeze too. It is possible for more frost Wednesday morning as well.

A warming trend then takes over the rest of the week with highs getting back into the 70s and blustery south wind helping us to get there. There is still the potential for rain Friday PM through Saturday AM but it doesn’t look like a drought buster at this point.
