OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Westside’s Tay Tay Jenkins knows how to make ‘em miss.

“He plays free without hesitation,” head coach Paul Limongi said.

The Warriors star running back found the endzone three times in the first half of their 45-3 win over Elkhorn South.

“He sees the seams, then he becomes the seam,” Limongi said. “Because of his stature, he’s hard to tackle. Once gets it and he’s comfortable, he’s tough to bring down.”

The sophomore burst on the scene for undefeated Westside with 12 touchdowns in 7 games, an output stemming from a summer spent on improving.

“I was just attacking,” Jenkins said of his summer goals. “Coming here to work hard, trying to play and get a starting role. "

It’s no small feat to be a starting skill position player as a sophomore for the back-to-back reigning champs. Limongi said it speaks to Tay Tay’s talent, and what he’s capable of over the next two-plus seasons.

“The sky is the limit for him,” Limongi said. “As long as he stays grounded, and understands he’s got to get better every week... The sky’s the limit for the kid.”
