OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Another round of strong to severe storms pushed across the region Monday with several reports of hail, wind damage, and a few tornadoes. The National Weather Service surveyed the damage today and confirmed 4 brief tornadoes did touch down leaving some trails of damage.

The first tornado of the evening touched down south of Beatrice in Gage County, just to the west of Blue Springs right on Highway 77. The tornado was on the ground for less than a mile, producing winds of around 80mph making it an EF-0 storm. Some very minor damage was noted along the path.

A quick tornado produced damage east of Minden and northeast toward the Shelby area.

A stronger tornado developed on the east edge of Minden, Iowa, shortly after 9 p.m. The tornado was on the ground for just over four miles, tracking over the eastern side of Minden, then crossing I-80 moving to Shelby before dissipating. Early assessments from Pottawattamie County officials indicate seven properties in Minden and a hog confinement were impacted by the storm. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. No major damage to homes in the area was noted, but several outbuildings and trees were destroyed. Several transmission lines were damaged and power poles snapped. Scattered tree damage was noted to the northeast up to the Avoca Rest Area where it crossed I-80. The tornado then continued moving northeast before dissipating just north of York Rd and Elmwood Rd. Maximum winds were estimated to around 110mph, making it an EF-1 tornado.

Another tornado developed a few miles south of Glenwood in Mills County, Iowa. The tornado then traveled to the northeast for about 5.6 miles, crossing Highway 34 near the turn for Highway 275 in the process. The storm traveled to the northeast crossing Hershey Ave. before dissipating. Maximum winds were estimated at 110mph, another EF-1 tornado. A farm was damaged along Jagger Road, with one large shed completely destroyed and two large grain bins destroyed some of the debris was thrown as much as a half mile away.

This same storm then produced another brief tornado just southwest of Carson, just west of Macedonia. Although short-lived with a path just over a mile in length, wind speeds were estimated at just over 90 mph, making it an EF-1 tornado. Several trees were damaged, and one home had minor damage along Beechnut Rd and 370th St.
