Benson High School to cancel rest of football season

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Benson High School announced Monday that they will be canceling the rest of their football season.
This decision comes, according to a statement, after a “thoughtful discussion” between the coaching staff and school administration.
According to the statement, the games were canceled due to low participation numbers.
As the game with Lincoln Southeast, the game they would have played this week, was Benson’s senior night, Benson will recognize their senior football players during the winter sports season.
