High School Football Week 7: Westside routs Elkhorn South in title game rematch

In Friday’s Game of the Week, a rematch of the 2023 Class A state title game saw No. 1 Westside assert its spot at the top once again with a 45-3 blowout of No. 3 Elkhorn South.

Also in Class A, No. 2 Millard South routed Lincoln High 63-0, No. 4 Kearney squeaked out a 36-33 nail biter on the road over No. 6 Millard North, and No. 9 Omaha Central’s defense stifled No. 7 Papio en route to a 27-7 win for the Eagles.

Defending Class B champs Bennington did the same thing as their Class A counterparts, climbing to a perfect 6-0 with a 35-7 win over Elkhorn. Across town, Elkhorn North knocked off Skutt Catholic 28-21 in a ranked Class B battle, while Gretna dominated Platteview, 51-14.
